So of course, the time I decide to change things around my site, our DSL goes to pot. So the changes will have to wait. Phooey. Over an hour on the phone with tech support, and NOTHING. No help at all. Oh well...

That'll teach me to try to figure stuff out on my own. I don't know what happened to my "Med School Madness" header on top. It's still in the HTML code for my template, but doggone it, where the hell is it? Argh. I didn't even touch that part of the code. Grrr.

Summer update...

Being as how I only update this puppy about once a month these days - here is my personal "State of the Union"...

Issue #1 -

I PASSED THE BOARDS!!!

WOO HOO!!! [dances around a la the "Caddyshack" gopher]

I actually found out a couple of weeks ago, just haven't gotten around to letting the word out to all. But anyhoo, PHEW. Huge weight off my shoulders. Liz very kindly called me to let me know that our Dean's office had emailed all of us as to whether or not we had passed. She stayed on the phone with me while I attempted to log on to our DSL, which conveniently decided that it would just refuse to connect. Finally got on after 10 minutes of trying, thank God. I thought I was going to puke waiting for my email to load up. And then the magic word... "Congratulations!" Ah, so now I can start my rotations in September as planned.

Issue #2 -
I soooooo need to haul ass and get my room cleaned out. Notice I said cleaned out, and not cleaned up. Much purging must be done. I've been living in that room for about 15 years now, and I'm switching rooms with my dad. There's a whole bunch of my stuff, as well as stuff that belongs to my sisters, my dad, my mom, and even my grandparents who lived in that room 20-something years ago. Wish me luck...

I love drama.

Issue #4 -
Does anyone know if there is a serial hotsync cable available for the Palm Tungsten E? My dinosaur of a computer has USB ports, but unbeknownst to me at the time of my PDA purchase, the computer couldn't give two sh!ts that those USB ports exist. Mookie tried to make them work, late into the evening, multiple times, God bless him, but the dinosaur just won't comply.

Issue #5 -
I move to Davenport/Bettendorf in about 3 weeks - medical student housing provided by the hospital... do I know exactly where? Nope. Do I know what I'm moving into - apartment or dorm? Nope. I need to call and ask. And along the same lines - I have no idea where half of the stuff I moved from Des Moines is now located in my house. My stuff got moved around. Doggone it.

Issue #6 -
I got my I-Pass! Yay! No more awkwardly trying to roll down the window while I'm driving! I can use the 30mph I-Pass express lanes! Me likey.

Issue #7 -
Oh, for those not in the know, I drive regularly now.
